Oriel Blanche is an elegant and refreshing Witbier that captures the classic Belgian profile with artisanal precision. This pale straw-colored ale opens with a vibrant citrus bouquet, characterized by bright orange zest and a delicate lemon-like coriander lift. The aroma is deepened by a soft, bready malt presence with hints of honeyed wheat. On the palate, the interplay of zesty fruitiness and subtle, peppery spices provides a complex yet approachable character. Appearance. Very pale straw (3 SRM). Highly cloudy and hazy with a milky, whitish shine. Features a dense, white, moussy head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity with dominant zesty, citrusy-orange fruitiness and perfumy, lemony coriander. Light bready, grainy wheat aromatics provide a base with subtle notes of honey and vanilla. Low spicy yeast-derived phenols; hop aroma is absent.
Taste. Initial impression of pleasant bready, grainy malt flavor. Moderate zesty orange fruitiness and herbal-spicy flavors, specifically lemony coriander, are well-balanced and subtle. Hop bitterness is low, providing a crisp, dry finish without any harsh or bitter aftertaste. Complex yet delicate fermentation character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a notable smoothness and light creaminess from the use of unmalted grains. High carbonation creates a refreshing, effervescent character. No alcohol warmth, astringency, or harshness.
