Orca Brau Rotes presents a sophisticated take on the traditional Irish Red Ale, balancing rustic graininess with a clean craft sensibility. This collaboration with St. Erhard delivers a striking deep copper appearance under a persistent tan head. The sensory profile is driven by a toasted malt core of bread crust and soft toffee, complemented by a distinctive hint of roasted barley that provides a signature dry finish. Very low earthy hop notes and a neutral fermentation profile ensure high drinkability. This medium-bodied pint offers a harmonious balance where gentle caramel sweetness meets a crisp, slightly roasted snap, making for an approachable yet characterful experience.

Appearance. Medium amber to reddish-copper (approx. 12 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Low off-white to tan colored head with average persistence.

Aroma. Low to moderate malt aroma, featuring notes of toasted grain and light toffee. Hop aroma is very low and floral. Extremely clean fermentation profile with no significant esters or diacetyl.

Taste. Initial soft impression of caramel malt sweetness. The palate moves toward a grainy, biscuity character before finishing with a light taste of roasted grain, which lends a characteristic dryness. Hop bitterness is medium-low, and hop flavor is nearly absent. The balance is slightly malt-inclined but finishes clean and smooth without lingering sweetness.
