Dantler Pils is a modern, naturtrüb take on the Czech Premium Pale Lager, fermented with a traditional Czech pils yeast to produce a deep, bready malt foundation. This naturally cloudy kvasnicové-style lager is defined by its soft mouthfeel and the use of Saphir hops, which weave delicate floral notes and light citrus fruitiness into the classic spicy profile. It offers a refreshing, “knackig” experience where the rich malt complexity is balanced by a pleasantly firm, rounded bitterness. The result is a vibrant, fresh lager that remains crisp and highly drinkable while honoring the traditional yeast character of its origins.
Appearance. Deep yellow to gold (SRM 4-6) with an inviting, natural haze (naturtrüb); features a dense, long-lasting, creamy white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Medium-high intensity with a rich, bready malt character; the Saphir hops provide a distinct bouquet of floral, herbal, and light citrus notes, complemented by low yeast-derived fruity esters.
Taste. Initial bready-rich maltiness followed by a pronounced but soft, rounded bitterness; hop flavors are floral and spicy with subtle fruity hints from the Saphir variety. It finishes clean and long with a balanced, crisp aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, rounded texture; moderate carbonation provides a fresh, crisp sensation without harshness; no perceptible alcohol warmth.
