Orbit’s Peel Belgian Wit is a luminous, effervescent ale designed for high refreshment. A soft bready malt base provides a canvas for delicate zesty layers of dried orange peel and the bright, lime-forward citrus profile of Motueka hops. Aromatic coriander seeds introduce a subtle peppery spice, while the expressive Belgian yeast imparts balanced notes of clove and soft banana. This Witbier transitions from a gentle honey-like sweetness to a crisp, dry finish, supported by a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and high carbonation. It captures a vibrant harmony between traditional spice additions and modern hop character, delivering a sophisticated and bright sensory profile.

Appearance. Very pale straw to light yellow (3 SRM). Highly cloudy and hazy with a characteristic milky, whitish-yellow glow. Thick, dense, white moussy head with excellent retention and light lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring a bready and slightly grainy wheat maltiness with hints of honey. Prominent citrus aromatics of orange zest and lime, complemented by a moderate perfumy-lemony coriander spice. Subtle fermentation esters of banana and phenolic clove are present but well-integrated with the herbal and spicy botanicals.

Taste. Initial impression of sweet, bready malt followed by a refreshing wash of orange and lime citrus flavors. The hop flavor is low, primarily citrus-driven from the Motueka hops. Subtle herbal-spicy notes of coriander and clove appear mid-palate. Low bitterness provides just enough balance to avoid a cloying finish. Ends clean and dry with a lingering note of orange peel.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Highly effervescent carbonation provides a crisp, prickly sensation on the tongue. No perceptible alcohol warmth; zero astringency or harshness.
