Imperial IPA 8 º
Phantasma is a scientifically driven Double IPA that pushes the boundaries of aromatic intensity through thiol-releasing yeast and advanced hop products. This brew radiates a saturated profile of white grape, gooseberry, and lime, driven by the heavy use of Nelson Sauvin and Motueka. The mash hopping and specialized biotransformation techniques unlock deep tropical layers of passion fruit and guava, while the addition of Hop Kief ensures a vibrant, resinous punch. Expect a sensory experience where citrus zest mingles with lush stone fruit, all supported by a clean, neutral malt backbone that allows the innovative hop chemistry to shine with power and precision.
Appearance. Gold (7 SRM) with a slight haze from intense dry-hopping and hop oils. Large, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent white wine grape, passion fruit, and lime zest. Tropical thiol-derived notes of guava and grapefruit dominate, supported by a very low, neutral, crackery malt presence. Fermentation is clean with no solventy alcohol.
Taste. Bold, multi-layered hop flavors of gooseberry, crushed lime, and tropical fruit. Firm but smooth bitterness provides a clean balance without harshness. The malt flavor is low and unobtrusive, acting as a soft canvas for the hops. Finish is dry and crisp with a lingering, resinous fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, almost creamy texture from hop oils. Moderate-high carbonation. Displays a well-integrated, gentle alcohol warmth that is never hot or astringent.
