O/O Brewing Lupi Pils is a refined, modern interpretation of the German Pils style, emphasizing a high-intensity hop profile while maintaining classical structure. It pours a brilliant, pale gold with a persistent, creamy white head. The sensory experience is dominated by a moderately high aroma of spicy and herbal traditional German hops, layered over a clean, doughy Continental Pilsner malt base with hints of toasted cracker. On the palate, a brief flash of grainy sweetness is immediately overtaken by a firm, assertive bitterness. The finish is exceptionally dry and crisp, bolstered by a subtle minerally character and a clean lager fermentation.
Appearance.3 SRM. Deep straw to brilliant yellow. Features a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent lacing and a very clear, brilliant body.
Aroma.Moderate to high intensity hop aroma featuring spicy, herbal, and flowery notes. Low to medium grainy-sweet malt character with suggestions of dough and light honey. The fermentation profile is very clean with no yeast-derived esters or phenols.
Taste.Initial malt flavor of toasted cracker and light grain is rapidly suppressed by a dominant hop bitterness. Hop flavors follow the aroma with prominent spicy and herbal notes. The bitterness is medium-high and firm, lingering into the aftertaste. The finish is crisp, clean, and dry with a slight flinty quality.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. High carbonation provides a lively tingle. No significant alcohol warmth despite the slightly elevated ABV. Lacks any harshness or astringency, though it possesses a sharp, minerally edge.
