This vibrant Wild Specialty Beer captures the intense, sun-drenched character of Sea Buckthorn, resulting in a striking orange hue and a profile bursting with tropical, citrus-like acidity. The aroma is a complex blend of tart berry notes and the deep, earthy, almost savory fragrance of Turmeric, accented by a sharp, aromatic Pepper bite. On the palate, a bracing lactic sourness is balanced by the resinous, woody undertones of the turmeric and a subtle, warming spice from the pepper. Its bone-dry finish and high carbonation make for a refreshing, botanical-forward experience that highlights the fruit's natural zest and the brewery's unique spice integration.
Appearance. Pours a hazy, glowing orange to deep gold (10–14 SRM) with a thin, fleeting off-white head that leaves minimal lacing, typical of high-acid wild ales.
Aroma. High intensity with a dominant scent of tart Sea Buckthorn (reminiscent of passion fruit and orange zest), layered over earthy, root-like Turmeric and a distinctively sharp, spicy Pepper note. Low bready malt and a clean lactic acidity are present, with very low funky fermentation esters.
Taste. Immediate, sharp lactic sourness leads into the complex fruit flavor of Sea Buckthorn berries. The mid-palate is characterized by the savory, woody character of Turmeric, while the finish is defined by a lingering, dry Pepper heat. No hop bitterness or flavor is detected; the balance is driven by acidity and spice. The finish is bone-dry and refreshing.
Mouthfeel. Light to medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a prickly, effervescent sensation. Very low alcohol warmth. A slight tannic astringency from the fruit skins and turmeric root enhances the perception of dryness.
