This collaboration between OneTwo and Fehér Nyúl presents a refined sensory profile where a delicate coffee aroma leads into a crisp, lemony sour base. The inclusion of almonds provides a rounding, marzipan-like sweetness that tempers the sharpness of the sourness, creating a unique tension between earthy roast and tart fruit. The experience is defined by its balance and smoothness, offering a silky finish that lingers with notes of toasted nuts and subtle berry-like coffee esters.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3-5 SRM). Pours with a moderate white head that shows relatively low retention. Clarity is slightly hazy due to the addition of almond and coffee oils.
Aroma. Moderate intensity. Dominant clean lactic sourness with underlying notes of lemon and tart apple. A distinct, soft aroma of freshly roasted specialty coffee provides a refined earthy layer, complemented by subtle, sweet almond and nutty scents. No hop aroma; malt is faintly crackery.
Taste. Initial impression is a refreshing, sharp lactic acidity. A pale, crackery malt foundation quickly yields to the flavor of light-roast specialty coffee. The mid-palate reveals a nutty, toasted almond character that balances the sourness. Finishes with a surprising silkiness and a touch of off-dry sweetness rather than being bone-dry. Hop bitterness is undetectable, and the finish is clean without being vinegary.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body, elevated by moderate to high carbonation that enhances the crisp acidity. The addition of almonds provides a notable silkiness and smoothness on the tongue, mitigating any potential acidic astringency. No alcohol warmth.
