OneTwo’s Barrel’s Kiss presents a complex, barrel-aged evolution of an American Stout, elevated by a year of maturation in red wine casks. The sensory profile is dominated by a rich interplay of dark roasted malts and festive spices, where cloves, cinnamon, and star anise provide a piquant, aromatic warmth. The influence of the red wine barrel introduces deep vinous notes and dark fruit complexity, further enhanced by the addition of sweet raisins. A bright spark of orange peel cuts through the heavy roast, while the elevated alcohol ensures a smooth, lingering warmth. This is a bold, winter-leaning stout with a sophisticated, spice-forward finish.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40); features a large, persistent head of light tan foam with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity with a strong roasted coffee and dark chocolate malt character; prominent notes of cinnamon, cloves, and star anise are layered over sweet raisins and a subtle citrusy orange peel. A noticeable red wine vinous quality and light smooth alcohol are present.

Taste. Initial impression of bittersweet chocolate and roasted coffee beans; secondary flavors of rich raisin and spicy cloves blend with a medium-high hop bitterness. The red wine barrel aging provides a slight tannic dryness and vinous depth. Finishes medium-dry with lingering spices, orange zest, and a smooth roasted grain character.
