This New Zealand-inspired Hazy IPA showcases a vibrant, modern hop profile driven by heavy double dry-hopping with Rakau and Nelson Sauvin hops. The sensory experience is dominated by a lush, tropical intensity where Rakau contributes notes of fleshy stone fruit and apricot, while Nelson Sauvin imparts its signature sophisticated white grape and gooseberry character. Bright citrus accents weave through the profile, supported by a soft, bready malt backbone that maintains a clean, supportive role. The pour is characteristically opaque with a luminous haze, leading into a pillowy-soft mouthfeel and a restrained bitterness that emphasizes fruit depth over sharp resin.
Appearance. SRM 4-6. Straw to light orange hue with a distinctively hazy, opaque shine. Features a dense, meringue-like white head with high retention and excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent white grape, crushed gooseberry, and tropical stone fruits like apricot and peach. Background notes of citrus zest are supported by a clean, lightly bready malt scent and subtle fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. Massive hop-forward flavors of tropical fruit, white grape, and sweet citrus. The malt flavor is low and grainy-sweet, serving as a soft platform for the hops. Perceived bitterness is low-medium and exceptionally smooth, finishing off-dry with a lingering, juicy fruit aftertaste and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, soft, and slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, without any hop-derived astringency or grain harshness.
