One Drop's SHINY is a high-impact Imperial Sour that delivers a concentrated expression of blueberry. This powerhouse pours with a deep, fruit-saturated hue, offering an aroma defined by jammy, ripe blueberries and a clean, crackery malt foundation. On the palate, the double blueberry intensity provides a rich, sweet fruit core that is immediately sliced through by an electric lactic acidity. Despite its puckering tartness, the high alcohol content and heavy fruit load result in a luxuriously full body. The experience concludes with a crisp, berry-stained finish that lingers with a refreshing, vibrant, and mouth-puckering snap.
Appearance. SRM 20-30+ (deep purple to indigo from blueberry intensity); large, dense, pink-tinted head with moderate to poor retention; opaque and heavily hazy.
Aroma. High intensity of ripe, jammy blueberries; clean lactic sourness with lemony notes; subtle biscuity and crackery malt in the background; no hop aroma; clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Sharp, clean lactic sourness dominates, immediately followed by a wave of sweet, jammy blueberry flavor; light grainy and crackery malt support; hop bitterness is undetectable; finish is off-dry and crisp with a lingering electric acidity and tart fruit skin character; no hop flavor.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full to full body; moderate carbonation; noticeable alcohol warmth due to the high gravity; some creaminess from fruit solids; crisp acidity with a mouth-puckering quality.
