This American IPA presents a vibrant tapestry of Southern Hemisphere and Pacific Northwest character. A simple hazy base provides the canvas for an intense dry-hop profile featuring Citra, Motueka, Mosaic CRYO, and Riwaka. The nose is greeted by a rush of zesty lime, crushed passionfruit, and bright tropical berries. On the palate, the hop-forward balance shines with layers of pink grapefruit and stone fruit, supported by a clean, grainy malt backbone. The Clean Fusion process ensures a crisp, saturated hop expression that lingers through a medium-dry finish, showcasing the fresh New Zealand harvest alongside resinous American depth.
Appearance. Medium gold to pale amber with a consistent, soft haze. Topped by a dense, white, persistent head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. Intense and complex hop aroma led by lime zest, passionfruit, and mango from the Riwaka and Motueka. Citra provides a sharp grapefruit edge while Mosaic CRYO adds notes of blueberry and resinous pine. Low, clean grainy maltiness provides a subtle foundation with very low fermentation esters.
Taste. Initial hop impact is very high, mirroring the tropical and citrus aroma. Firm bitterness is well-integrated with a light, bready malt flavor. Ripe melon and stone fruit flavors transition into a clean, hoppy aftertaste. The finish is medium-dry and crisp, lacking any harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing lift without being prickly. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
