One Drop Brewing Co

This award-winning California-style American IPA presents a modern, high-intensity hop profile built upon a crisp, lean foundation of German Pilsner malt. The sensory experience is dominated by a complex bouquet of tropical fruit, citrus, and resinous pine, driven by heavy additions of El Dorado CRYO and Simcoe. Double dry-hopping with Citra CRYO, Superdelic, and Simcoe Hyperboost creates layers of mango, grapefruit, and sweet berry. The palate is defined by a firm, clean bitterness and a remarkably dry finish, allowing the vibrant hop character to remain the focus. It is a bright, refreshing, and aromatically explosive ale that exemplifies the contemporary West Coast profile.

Appearance. Medium gold (7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that leaves dense, ornate lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High-intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of pineapple, passion fruit, and zesty lime. A resinous, piney backbone is supported by very low, clean, cracker-like graininess from the malt. Fermentation is exceptionally clean with no noticeable esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrus zest and tropical fruit. Flavors of mango, grapefruit, and a touch of red berry lead into a firm, medium-high bitterness. The German Pilsner malt provides a light, grainy sweetness that stays in the background. Finishes bone-dry and crisp with a lingering, clean, resinous hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the hop oils. Medium-high carbonation provides a refreshing, scrubbing sensation. A very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated.
