Frontline is a decadently thick Wild Specialty Beer that exemplifies the smoothie-style approach. It presents a saturated sensory profile dominated by an intense triad of fresh pineapple juice, guava puree, and creamy banana. The double-soured lactic acidity provides a sharp, clean counterpoint to the sugary sweetness of pink and white marshmallows and a soft touch of vanilla. The heavy use of oats and wheat creates a dense, milkshake-like structure that carries the massive fruit load. This is a bold, dessert-leaning sour where the vibrant tropical fruit character and marshmallow fluffiness harmoniously collide with a refreshing, citrusy tartness.
Appearance. Opaque and thick, resembling a fruit smoothie with a pale salmon-orange hue. Minimal head retention, producing a brief, bubbly white foam that dissipates quickly due to high fruit solids.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of ripe, acidic pineapple and tropical guava. A distinct banana cream sweetness emerges alongside sugary marshmallow and subtle vanilla bean. Low, clean lactic tartness is present but secondary to the fruit.
