Appearance. Opaque and viscous; deep magenta to purple hue (SRM 25+). Features a thick, creamy, pale-pink tinted head with surprisingly good retention for the style and heavy lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aromatics of jammy boysenberry, blackberry, and sweet cherry. Strong dessert-like notes of French vanilla and white chocolate. Secondary notes of ripe banana and tropical mango are evident. Very low lactic sourness; hop aroma and malt character are absent.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tart forest fruits and strawberry jam. Rich malt-substitute flavors of white chocolate and meringue icing follow. Mid-palate features juicy mango and creamy banana. Bitterness is nearly non-existent (low IBU context). The finish is long, sweet, and coating, yet refreshed by a sharp, clean lactic acidity that prevents cloying.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and thick with a smoothie-like viscosity. Moderate carbonation. High creaminess and a mouth-coating texture from the lactose and fruit solids. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated. No astringency.
