This contemporary Double IPA highlights a unique, hand-selected trial crop of Riwaka, codenamed LiLy™, which delivers an intense sensory profile of passionfruit hard candy and dried citrus rind. A foundation of premium malted pale barley, spelt, and rolled oats creates a silky, plush canvas for the massive hop saturation. Complementary additions of Motueka and Citra® contribute vibrant POG juice vibes—passionfruit, orange, and guava—that dominate the palate. Despite its strength, the beer maintains a remarkably fresh finish, balancing the complex tropical fruit layers with a clean, supportive malt backbone characteristic of a modern high-gravity hop showcase.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (7–9 SRM). Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing. Though the style allows for clarity, the use of spelt and oats lends a modern, slight to moderate haze.

Aroma. Intense hop-forward aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit (guava, passionfruit) and citrus (lime, orange zest). Low, clean, bready malt notes from the oats and spelt persist in the background. Fermentation is clean with very subtle fruity esters.

Taste. High hop flavor intensity mirroring the aroma with layers of passionfruit, lime, and dried citrus peel. Firm, moderately high bitterness that is well-integrated and smooth, never harsh. A soft, grainy malt sweetness supports the hops. The finish is medium-dry and clean with a long-lasting, tropical hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, smooth texture provided by the high protein content of the rolled oats and spelt. Moderate carbonation. A gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but remains restrained and smooth.
