This collaboration Double IPA delivers an explosive sensory experience, showcasing a sophisticated layering of Citra, Mosaic, and Nelson Sauvin hops. The aroma is saturated with intense tropical notes of passion fruit and lychee, underpinned by a sharp citrus zest and white wine grape character. On the palate, the high hop intensity brings crushed gooseberry and dank resin, supported by a lean, neutral malt backbone that allows the hops to remain the focal point. Despite the substantial 8.6% ABV, the finish is remarkably dry and clean, offering a firm but smooth bitterness that encourages another sip.
Appearance. Deep gold with a slight orange hue (approx 8 SRM). Large, persistent white head with dense lacing. Moderate to heavy haze consistent with modern dry-hopped iterations.
Aroma. Intense hop-forward aroma dominated by notes of ripe mango, passion fruit, and bright tangerine. Distinctive contributions of crushed white grapes and gooseberry are apparent, alongside blueberry and light pine. Very low grainy malt support with a clean fermentation profile and a subtle, well-integrated alcohol note.
Taste. Explosive hop flavors mirror the aroma, featuring grapefruit zest, lychee, and a dank, resinous undertone. The malt flavor is minimal and neutral, offering just enough cracker-like character to balance the assertive, firm bitterness. Finishes very dry and clean with a lingering aftertaste of tropical fruit and resinous hop oils.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp lift. A light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-contained, without any harsh hop-derived astringency.
