Mazarin, an "Extra Special Pale Ale" by Omnipollo, is a masterclass in balance and hop expression. Despite its "thinker’s beer" moniker, the sensory experience is visceral, driven by a lavishly doubled hop bill that saturates the profile with bright citrus and tropical fruit notes characteristic of American hops. At 5.6% ABV, it provides a satisfying depth without overwhelming the palate. The clean, neutral malt base allows the hop-forward character to shine, offering a refined bitterness that cleanses the palate. This American Pale Ale prioritizes clarity of flavor and aromatic intensity, resulting in a refreshing yet profoundly hoppy session that rewards contemplative drinking.
Appearance. Pours a brilliant pale golden to light amber with a moderately large, creamy white head that exhibits excellent retention and leaves intricate lacing.

Omnipollo Maz (formerly Mazarin) is my take on a “thinker’s beer”. Rather than being big and undecipherably complex I wanted to create something that would calm a hop yearning nerve without fuddling the brain too much. In other words, a lavishly hopped ale of judicious ABV — an Extra Special Pale Ale if you will.
In fact, so extra special that it snatched a gold medal at the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival in 2013.
