A masterful collaboration between Omnipollo and Mahrs Bräu, this Bierfest edition is a robust German Pils designed for celebratory sessions. It pours with brilliant clarity, showcasing the foundational Continental Pilsner malt that provides elegant notes of toasted cracker and a whisper of honey. Traditional German hops take center stage, delivering a high-intensity bouquet of wildflowers, dried herbs, and noble spice. Despite its slightly elevated 5.9% ABV, the beer retains its signature crispness and high attenuation. It balances a clean, doughy malt sweetness against a firm, lingering bitterness, culminating in a dry and incredibly refreshing finish that honors its Bavarian roots.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (3-4 SRM). Brilliant to sparkling clarity. Crowned by a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of flowery and herbal hop character. Moderate grainy and doughy malt presence with light honey notes. Clean lager fermentation profile with no detectable esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial impression is a quick flash of sweet, grainy malt that is rapidly overtaken by assertive spicy and herbal hop flavors. Medium-high bitterness is firm and clean, lingering into a very dry, crisp finish. Background notes of toasted cracker provide balance, while a subtle mineral quality accentuates the refreshment.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation providing a lively, scrubbing sensation. Very subtle alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. Crisp and sharp without any astringency.
