This thiol-forward Hazy IPA is a modern collaboration with WHC Lab, utilizing white grape skins and Phantasm powder to unlock deep aromatic potential. The sensory profile is dominated by the unmistakable character of Nelson Sauvin hops, delivering intense notes of crushed white grapes, gooseberry, and passionfruit. Complementing this is a bright layer of citrus from Citra, creating a profile reminiscent of a tropical Sauvignon Blanc. Despite its seasonal name, the beer is light amber and foggy, offering a lush, creamy texture and a soft bitterness that balances the intense fruitiness. It finishes smooth and off-dry, emphasizing a juicy, thiol-driven complexity.
Appearance. Light amber to orange (5-7 SRM). Opaque and hazy with a characteristic shine. Topped with a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head that shows high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent white grape, passionfruit, and lime zest. A clean, bready, and grainy malt character remains in the background. Neutral to slightly fruity fermentation esters support the hop profile without clashing; no presence of caramel or toast.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor with layers of tropical citrus, grapefruit, and gooseberry. Low to medium bready malt flavor. Bitterness is moderate but perceived as soft and non-lingering due to the full body. The finish is off-dry and juicy with a clean, fruit-forward aftertaste and no hop harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy, and soft texture. Moderate carbonation. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, without any acidic twang or astringency.
