The sensory experience is dominated by a brilliant array of citrus, pineapple, and passionfruit, creating a bright, tropical profile. A clean, light-grainy malt backbone provides the necessary structure without competing with the intense hop character. This beer finishes medium-dry with a firm, crisp bitterness, staying true to its West Coast roots while embracing the modern intensity of advanced hop products. It is a refreshing, hop-forward daydream that emphasizes fruit-forward aromatics and a clean fermentation profile.
Appearance. A medium gold color with slight haze from heavy dry-hopping. It features a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma with primary notes of zesty orange and grapefruit citrus, complemented by high tropical fruit esters of pineapple and passionfruit. Low, clean, grainy-sweet maltiness sits in the background.
Taste. High hop flavor mirrors the aroma, delivering layers of citrus and tropical fruit. Low grainy-sweet malt character allows the firm, medium-high bitterness to shine. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, clean, hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and medium-high carbonation. There is a very light, smooth alcohol warmth and no hop-derived harshness.
