Grapefruit B-43 is a vibrant, ultra-dry Specialty IPA that transforms the celebrated hop profile of M-43 into a crisp, effervescent experience. The addition of fresh grapefruit intensifies the zesty citrus character, perfectly complementing the tropical notes of Citra and Amarillo and the resinous depths of Simcoe and Calypso hops. Despite its 7% ABV, the beer remains remarkably light-bodied with a bone-dry finish, as the low carbohydrate count emphasizes a clean, sharp bitterness. This interpretation balances intense hop aromatics with a refreshing, champagne-like clarity, delivering a zesty citrus punch that lingers briefly on a palate scrubbed clean by high carbonation.

Appearance. Pale gold (3–5 SRM). Brilliant clarity. Moderate, white, frothy head with persistent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant fresh grapefruit zest and pith, supported by tropical mango and pineapple notes from Citra and Amarillo hops. Subtle resinous pine and floral hints from Simcoe and Calypso. Very low, neutral, crackery malt character.

Taste. Initial impression of sharp, zesty grapefruit. High hop flavor mirroring the aroma with notes of orange peel, pine, and light stone fruit. Low, neutral malt flavor. High bitterness that is clean and sharp, made more prominent by the lack of residual sugar. Bone-dry, clean finish with a lingering citrus zest aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Light body. High carbonation creating a spritzy, effervescent mouthfeel. Smooth with no astringency. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
