Putts All Day is a refreshingly bright American Pale Ale designed for effortless sessionability at 4.7% ABV. It presents a clean, hop-forward profile led by vibrant notes of citrus zest and pine resin, characteristic of modern American cultivars. A lean foundation of neutral pale malt provides a subtle bready support without introducing heavy caramel weight, ensuring the hops remain the focus. The fermentation is exceptionally clean, allowing delicate stone fruit esters to peek through. With its crisp finish and balanced bitterness, this pale ale offers a sophisticated yet approachable sensory experience tailored for extended enjoyment on the green.
Appearance. Pale golden (approx. 6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. It carries a moderately large, frothy white head with good retention and fine-beaded lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to moderately high hop aroma featuring grapefruit, lemon peel, and light floral notes. A low, grainy-sweet malt character provides a neutral backdrop, accompanied by very low pear-like esters.
Taste. Initial hop flavors of citrus and resinous pine dominate, supported by a soft, crackery malt substrate. The bitterness is moderate and firm, leading into a medium-dry finish. The aftertaste is clean with a lingering note of citrus rind and no harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation that provides a lively, crisp sensation. Alcohol warmth is not perceived, and the finish is smooth without astringency.
