Pathways is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a collaborative focus on hop innovation. Utilizing Cryo Pop and Citra hops, it delivers an intense sensory journey starting with an aromatic explosion of fuzzy peach skin, ripe pineapple, and a unique creamy citrus character with a whisper of fresh coconut. The appearance is a glowing, hazy orange topped with a persistent white head. On the palate, a tropical medley emerges, reminiscent of a piña colada balanced by bright tangerine, grapefruit, and orange peel. A soft, medium-full body ensures a smooth delivery, while the finish remains juicy with just a faint hint of freshly-cut grass.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7 SRM) with a significant, opaque haze that provides a luminous shine. Supports a medium-sized, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by stone fruit (peach), tropical fruit (pineapple), and a distinct creamy citrus. Subtle notes of coconut are present. The malt provides a low, supportive grainy-sweet background, while fermentation esters are fruity and well-integrated with the hop profile.
Taste. High hop flavor featuring a tropical medley of pineapple and coconut, transitioning into bright orange peel, tangerine, and grapefruit. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, never harsh. The malt is low and bready, providing a platform for the hops. The finish is off-dry and juicy, with a very light lingering herbal, grassy note in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture and no hop harshness or astringency. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its strength.
