Octavo Arte’s CAMBIO DE PIEL is a vibrant Session IPA brewed to celebrate a ten-year milestone. This collaboration foregrounds the expressive tropical qualities of Azacca and Simcoe hops, delivering a punchy sensory experience despite its accessible ABV. The aroma is dominated by ripe mango, pineapple, and a touch of piney resin, while the palate offers a refreshing citrus-forward profile. A lean, grainy malt base allows the hop-derived stone fruit and tropical notes to shine. Crisp and highly drinkable, this American IPA variant balances a firm bitterness with a clean, dry finish, making it an ideal companion for sunny afternoons.

Appearance. Color is a pale, brilliant gold (6 SRM). It features a medium-sized, bright white head with excellent persistence and fine-beaded lacing. Clarity is high, with only a very faint, chill-induced haze possible.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma characterized by tropical fruit, specifically mango and pineapple, alongside notes of citrus zest and a resinous pine undertone. A low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral background. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters or phenols.

Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward, featuring layers of tropical fruit and grapefruit. Hop bitterness is moderate to firm but remains smooth, never harsh. A low, crackery malt flavor supports the hops without adding sweetness. The finish is dry and crisp, leaving a lingering aftertaste of citrus peel and pine needles. The balance is decidedly bitter and refreshing.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively, scrubbing effect on the tongue. There is no perceived alcohol warmth and zero astringency.
