Octavo Arte AKELARRE
A collaborative Hazy IPA that showcases a saturated hop profile from the heavy use of Bru-1 and Nelson Sauvin. The sensory experience is led by a punchy tropical aroma, where Bru-1 provides vivid notes of ripe pineapple and stone fruit, while the Nelson Sauvin adds a sophisticated layer of crushed white grape and gooseberry. The palate is exceptionally soft, featuring a juicy fruit character that masks a restrained bitterness. This potion balances a delicate, bready malt backbone with a smooth, pillowy texture, finishing with a lingering vinous and tropical complexity that remains refreshing and highly drinkable.
Appearance. Straw to pale gold with a dense, opaque haze that gives the beer a luminous quality. Supports a thick, meringue-like white head with high retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring dominant notes of fresh pineapple, passionfruit, and tropical nectar from the Bru-1, complemented by the signature white wine, gooseberry, and melon character of Nelson Sauvin. Low bready malt in the background; clean fermentation profile.
Taste. High hop flavor mirroring the tropical and vinous aroma. Initial impressions of sweet pineapple and white grape transition into a soft, low-to-medium bitterness. The malt provides a neutral, bready support. The finish is off-dry and smooth, devoid of any harsh hop bite or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a characteristic soft, silky, and rounded mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. No harshness or raw grain texture; very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
