Occidental Brewing Co. Pilsner presents a refined bridge between traditions, offering a German Pilsner structure with a distinct Bohemian influence. The experience begins with a brilliant gold pour and a persistent white head. On the nose, spicy and floral notes from traditional Czech hops lead the way, supported by a clean, grainy-sweet malt base reminiscent of toasted crackers. The palate is defined by a firm bitterness that quickly overtakes a subtle Pilsner malt sweetness, leading to a bone-dry, crisp finish. This lager is exceptionally clean and refreshing, emphasizing the elegant interplay between noble hop character and a snappy, minerally mouthfeel.

Appearance. Straw to deep yellow (approx 3 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a dense, creamy, long-lasting white head and fine lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high spicy and herbal hop intensity. Complemented by a low to medium grainy-sweet, cracker-like malt profile. Very clean fermentation with no esters or diacetyl.

Taste. Initial soft malt sweetness is rapidly balanced by a firm hop bitterness. Flavors of herbal, spicy Czech hops and doughy malt are prominent. Finishes very dry and crisp with a lingering, clean bitterness in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation. Crisp and refreshing with a slight flinty or minerally sharpness that enhances the dry finish. No alcohol warmth.
