Flor de Seda is a classic West Coast-style American IPA that celebrates the Atlantic Forest through a traditional sensory lens. This collaboration utilizes the iconic 'CCC' hop blend—Columbus, Centennial, and Cascade—to deliver a robust, perfumed experience. The aroma is vibrantly floral and citrusy, leading with notes of grapefruit and orange blossom. On the palate, a clean, supporting malt backbone allows layers of piney resin and firm bitterness to shine. The finish is notably dry and crisp, leaving a lingering trail of earthy Columbus and bright Cascade character, resulting in a timeless, resinous profile.
Appearance. Deep gold to light reddish-amber in color with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with prominent citrus (grapefruit), floral, and resinous pine notes. Low grainy-sweet maltiness supports the hops. Clean fermentation profile with no significant esters.
Taste. High hop flavor echoing the citrus and floral aroma. Low to medium-low toasty and grainy malt flavor provides balance. Medium-high bitterness leads to a dry finish. The aftertaste is hoppy and bitter with a light resinous quality.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture and moderate to high carbonation. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present with no astringency.
