This Hazy IPA presents a lush, tropical sensory profile driven by a double dry-hopped combination of Citra and the experimental HBC-630 hops. The aroma is a saturated bouquet of ripe red berries and sun-warmed peach, layered over the vibrant tangerine and bright tropical fruit notes characteristic of Citra. It pours with a luminous, opaque golden glow and a dense, meringue-like white head. On the palate, the HBC-630 delivers a complex sweetness reminiscent of stone fruit and berry jam, while a soft, pillowy mouthfeel provides a smooth canvas for the intense hop character. The finish remains juicy and clean with a restrained, gentle bitterness.
Appearance. Deep straw to gold (approx. 5 SRM); opaque with a characteristic hazy shine. Features a medium-large, white, rocky head with high retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop-forward aroma featuring red berries, peach, and mango, complemented by citrus notes of tangerine. Clean, neutral, lightly bready malt is present in the background with no caramel notes.
Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with dominant peach, strawberry-like red fruit, and juicy tangerine. Low, grainy-bready malt flavor. Perceived bitterness is moderate but soft, leading to an off-dry, fruit-forward finish without harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, soft, and silky texture. Carbonation is moderate. No astringency is present, and there is a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
