This luscious Hazy IPA showcases the vibrant interplay of Strata and Idaho 7 hops. The aroma bursts with a tropical melody of passion fruit and fresh strawberry driven by Strata, alongside sweet apricot and orange zest delivered by Idaho 7, all backed by a soft, bready malt foundation. On the palate, juicy waves of ripe mango and pink grapefruit dominate, balanced by a restrained, smooth bitterness and a pillowy mouthfeel. Finishing clean with a touch of lingering fruitiness, it perfectly captures the quintessential soft, juicy essence of the style.
Appearance. Color is a hazy, opaque straw to pale yellow with a luminous glow. It supports a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with outstanding retention and dense, web-like lacing. No visible particulates or yeast clumps are present.
Aroma. Intense, punchy hop aroma dominated by tropical and stone fruits, highlighting sweet passion fruit, ripe strawberry, and apricot. Underlying notes of bright orange citrus and a hint of dank pine are supported by a clean, lightly bready, doughy malt backbone. Completely free of DMS, diacetyl, or harsh grassy notes.
Taste. High, juicy hop-forward flavor mirroring the aroma, with rich waves of mango, pink grapefruit, papaya, and sweet melon. The malt character is low, providing a neutral, soft wheat-and-oat bready base. Perceived bitterness is low to moderate, keeping the beer incredibly smooth without any harsh bite. The finish is off-dry and soft, with a lingering tropical fruitiness that remains clean and pleasant.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, pillowy, and exceptionally soft body without being cloying or heavy. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth, creamy texture. No harsh astringency or hop burn is present, with just a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
