This collaborative American IPA is a vibrant expression of modern hop innovation and collaboration. Utilizing Verdant yeast for a supple, fruity fermentation foundation, it showcases New Zealand’s Freestyle hops and Kohia Nelson Hop Kief to deliver an explosive sensory experience. The profile is dominated by intense layers of passion fruit, guava, and bright citrus, underscored by the sophisticated Sauvignon Blanc character associated with Nelson Sauvin. A clean, grainy malt backbone provides just enough support for the hop-forward intensity, leading to a crisp, dryish finish. It captures the essence of a juicy ale while maintaining the definitive structure and punch of the style.

Appearance. Medium gold (6-7 SRM). Displays a persistent, medium-sized white head with good lacing. Features a slight, soft haze consistent with modern hop-forward techniques while remaining translucent.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent passion fruit, guava, and citrus. Distinctive New World character from the Kohia Nelson addition provides notes of white wine and crushed gooseberry. Low, clean, bready maltiness supports the tropical fruit profile with a light esters from the yeast.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit, specifically passion fruit and citrus. The mid-palate reveals guava and Sauvignon Blanc notes. Hop bitterness is firm and clean (approx. 50 IBU), balanced by a low, grainy-sweet malt character. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering, hoppy, and slightly resinous aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate to medium-high carbonation provides a crisp lift. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth; no harshness or astringency.
