This modern interpretation of an American IPA showcases the Nectaron hop through a crystal-clear, lager-fermented lens. The aroma is an explosive bouquet of sun-ripened peach and juicy pineapple, underscored by a delicate wisp of citrus peel. Utilizing lager yeast at warmer temperatures results in an exceptionally clean, neutral backdrop that allows the tropical fruit notes to take center stage without ester interference. The mouthfeel is crisp and remarkably dry, delivering a sharp, refreshing bitterness that emphasizes drinkability. Pale malts provide just enough grainy structure to support the intense hop profile, culminating in a lean, vibrant, and fruit-forward finish.
Appearance. Pale gold (6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, bright white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent Nectaron characteristics: ripe peach, fresh pineapple, and zesty citrus peel. Malt is low and clean, presenting as a neutral grainy character. Fermentation profile is exceptionally clean with no yeast-derived esters.
Taste. High hop flavor echoes the aroma with punchy tropical fruit and stone fruit notes. The malt flavor is low, clean, and crackery, supporting a firm, medium-high bitterness. The finish is very dry and crisp with a lingering, clean hop aftertaste and no harshness.
