Set To Roam is a bold Double IPA that showcases an expressive trifecta of modern hops. Nelson Sauvin provides a distinctive white wine and crushed gooseberry elegance, while Mosaic adds layers of ripe blueberry and tropical stone fruit. Citra rounds out the sensory profile with vibrant grapefruit and lime zest highlights. The 8% ABV is seamlessly integrated, offering a gentle warmth that supports a lean, grainy malt base. This beer delivers an intense aromatic experience followed by a crisp, dry finish, emphasizing hop saturation without the heavy sweetness or syrupy body of a barleywine, representing a refined, fruit-forward interpretation of the style.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange-copper (SRM 6-9). Features a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing. Presents good clarity with only a slight, modern haze acceptable.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by tropical and vinous notes. Nelson Sauvin contributes gooseberry and white grape, while Mosaic and Citra offer mango, passion fruit, and bright citrus zest. Background malt is neutral and clean, with a very low grainy sweetness. Fermentation is clean with a hint of alcohol presence.

Taste. Assertive hop flavors of grapefruit, blueberry, and tropical fruit mirror the aroma. High bitterness is firm but smooth, lacking harshness. The malt character is low and supportive, providing a soft, cracker-like foundation. It finishes dry to medium-dry with a lingering resinous and fruity hop aftertaste. Fermentation is clean and neutral.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, providing a lively prickle. A subtle, restrained alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No notable astringency from the high hop load.
