This American Pale Ale presents a modern, vibrant hop profile driven by the interplay of Citra, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin. The bouquet is dominated by Citra’s bright grapefruit and lime, layered with the tropical passion fruit notes of Galaxy and the signature crushed gooseberry and white grape character of Nelson Sauvin. A clean, neutral malt base of lightly toasted grain provides a slender but sturdy platform for these New World hops to shine. Crisp and refreshing, it balances a firm hop bitterness with a medium-dry finish, showcasing a refined sensory collaboration that remains remarkably drinkable and aromatically intense.
Appearance. Pale golden to light amber (6–8 SRM). Features a moderately large white head with good retention and fine lacing. Clarity is generally quite clear.
Aroma. Moderately high hop intensity featuring distinct notes of citrus zest, tropical passion fruit, and vinous gooseberry. Supporting this is a low, clean, grainy-sweet malt presence. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters, allowing the Citra, Galaxy, and Nelson Sauvin hops to lead.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with flavors of grapefruit, peach, and white wine. Malt provides a subtle bready, neutral backbone without clashing caramel. Bitterness is moderate but firm, leading to a clean, medium-dry finish where lingering tropical fruit and a touch of resinous hop character persist without harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is moderate-high, enhancing the refreshing quality. Alcohol warmth is very low and well-integrated.
