Nothing Bound Brewing Co

Flock is a vibrant Hazy IPA that captures an intense bouquet of tropical and citrus notes. The interplay of Riwaka, Amarillo, and Citra hops creates a layered sensory experience, led by punchy passionfruit and zesty grapefruit aromas. On the palate, juicy mango and sweet orange citrus dominate, supported by a soft, pillowy malt backbone of lightly bready notes. This medium-bodied ale presents a characteristic opaque, straw-colored glow with a creamy white head. It finishes with a delicate, rounded bitterness that allows the lush fruit character to linger without being cloying, embodying the refreshing essence of a modern New England-style ale.

Appearance. 4 SRM. Deep straw to light gold with a distinct opaque haze and a luminous shine. Pours with a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head that demonstrates excellent retention and leaves delicate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by tropical fruit and citrus hop character; specifically notes of passionfruit, mango, and lime zest. A faint floral undertone of orange blossom is present. The malt is subtle and clean, offering a background of fresh-baked bread and soft graininess. Yeast esters are fruity and well-integrated.

Taste. Massive fruity hop flavors of grapefruit, apricot, and melon hit the palate initially. The bitterness is low to moderate, providing just enough structure to balance the juicy hop profile without harshness. Malt flavor is low, contributing a neutral, bready sweetness that fades into an off-dry finish. Hop-derived citrus and stone fruit notes linger pleasantly in the clean aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky, and smooth texture. Carbonation is moderate. There is a very slight, well-integrated alcohol warmth consistent with its strength. Free from astringency or raw starch sensations.
