Nothing Bound Brewing Co

Distant Astronauts captures the quintessential charm of a Hazy IPA, centering on a lush interplay between Citra and Cashmere hops. It opens with an explosion of tropical fruit and bright citrus, where the Citra provides distinct notes of grapefruit and lime zest while Cashmere adds layers of soft melon and lemon-lime. The malt profile is discreetly supportive, offering a bready, wheaty foundation that bolsters the juicy hop expression without introducing distracting sweetness. A pillowy, soft mouthfeel defines the experience, leading to a gentle, low-bitterness finish that maximizes drinkability. This is a bright, fruit-forward exploration of modern hop character.

Appearance. Straw to very light amber. Opaque with a hazy, luminous shine. Medium-high, rocky white head with excellent retention and lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by mango, pineapple, and grapefruit from Citra, complemented by lemon-lime and cantaloupe notes from Cashmere. Low bready, neutral malt in the background; no caramel or toast. Clean fermentation.

Taste. High fruity hop flavor mirroring the aroma with lime zest, tropical stone fruit, and melon. Low to medium-low perceived bitterness. Malt is light and bready. Finish is smooth and off-dry with a lingering juicy fruit aftertaste and no hop harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very smooth with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
