Nostalgia Baltic Coffee Porter

Porter 5 º 22 IBU
This comforting Spice, Herb, or Vegetable Beer presents a heritage-inspired sensory profile, showcasing a harmonious marriage of freshly roasted coffee and a deeply complex grain bill. Crafted with six different malts and three classic hop varieties, the beer delivers an enticing aroma of freshly ground espresso, bittersweet cocoa, and toasted crusts. The palate is treated to layers of dark chocolate, earthy hop undertones, and a smooth, cold-brew coffee character. It drinks remarkably easily for its depth, offering a satisfying, clean finish that celebrates both the roasted grains and masterfully integrated coffee.
Appearance. Deep dark brown to nearly black in color with brilliant clarity at the edges. It is crowned by a thick, persistent, tan-colored head that leaves dense, creamy lacing as it recedes.
Aroma. High intensity aroma dominated by freshly roasted coffee beans, espresso, and dark chocolate. Beneath the coffee, a complex malt profile of toasted bread crust, nutty grains, and a hint of dark caramel emerges. Hop aroma is low, presenting subtle earthy and herbal notes from the classic hop varieties. Fermentation is clean, with very low dark fruit esters.
Taste. The initial impression is of rich roasted coffee and bittersweet dark chocolate. The middle palate reveals a complex depth from the six-malt blend, introducing flavors of toasted nuts, biscuit, and a mild caramel sweetness. Moderate hop bitterness is well-integrated with the roasty coffee bite, finishing off-dry and clean. Notes of earthy, herbal classic hops linger subtly in the background alongside a lingering roast character.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, moderately creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate, providing a gentle lift that keeps the roasted elements from feeling heavy. There is a subtle, pleasant warmth from the 5% alcohol, with negligible astringency from either the dark malts or coffee.
