Northern Monk’s Pride 2024 is a vibrant Fruit Beer that reimagines a classic Pale Ale with a garden-fresh twist. The sensory profile is headlined by the aromatic duo of sun-ripened strawberry and the distinctive, peppery herbal lift of fresh basil. On the palate, a soft malt base supports a complex interplay of sweet and savory notes; juicy currants and dark berries provide a lip-smacking tang that balances the green, herbal spice. The finish is smooth yet refreshing, maintaining the easy-going drinkability of its base style while offering a unique, savory-sweet aromatic profile that celebrates summer and diversity.
Appearance. Pours a hazy gold to light amber with subtle pinkish highlights from the berry additions. It is topped by a moderate, creamy off-white head with fair retention and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aromatics of fresh, sweet strawberry integrated with a pronounced peppery and savory basil character. Subtle notes of tart currants and jammy dark berries emerge as it warms.
