This Tropical Lassi IPA presents a vibrant sensory experience, building upon the hazy Heathen base. Intensely aromatic, it leads with a lush bouquet of ripe mango and sharp passion fruit, accented by a bright, zesty lime lift. The addition of vanilla provides a decadent, creamy veil that rounds out the tropical acidity. On the palate, the fruit presence is bold and juicy, mirroring the aroma with a thick, velvety texture reminiscent of a traditional lassi. The finish is smooth and lingering, where the lime’s citrus edge perfectly balances the rich sweetness of the fruit and vanilla.
Appearance. Deep apricot to orange (6-8 SRM); opaque and hazy with a dense, persistent creamy white head and heavy lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant fresh mango and tangy passion fruit aromatics are supported by a sharp lime zest. Moderate vanilla sweetness is evident, with very low bready malt and negligible hop aroma.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of sweet mango and tart passion fruit. The mid-palate is characterized by a smooth, creamy vanilla flavor and low hop bitterness. Lime provides a refreshing acidity that balances the residual sweetness. The finish is long, juicy, and clean, with a lingering fruit puree character.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a smooth, velvety creaminess. Moderate carbonation and a noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth. No perceived astringency.
