This Hazy IPA captures the essence of late-summer berries through a unique hop blend. Audacia hops lead the sensory profile, delivering distinct notes of huckleberry and lingonberry alongside a delicate floral backdrop of lilac and rose. New Zealand Cascade enhances these soft berry layers with increased fruit depth, while Strata adds a subtle, grounding edge to the intensely fruit-forward character. Despite its wintery release, the beer remains bright and expressive. A soft, grainy malt base supports the intense hop aromatics, resulting in a smooth, approachable experience that balances floral elegance with deep red fruit complexity and a refined, juicy finish.
Appearance. Straw to light gold (3-6 SRM). Opaque, uniform haze with a luminous quality. Features a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by red berries, huckleberry, and lingonberry. Secondary notes of lilac and rose provide a sophisticated floral layer. The malt presence is low, contributing a clean, bready, and slightly grainy background without caramel or toast.
Taste. High hop flavor reflecting the aroma's berry medley and floral esters. Low to medium-low bitterness that is well-masked by the soft textures. Initial impression is of juicy fruit and soft botanicals. Low bready malt flavor provides a foundation for the Audacia and New Zealand Cascade character. Finishes off-dry and smooth with a lingering, pleasant berry aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. No harshness or astringency. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated, providing a smooth, effortless drinkability.
