This Session IPA delivers a vibrant sensory experience despite its modest 4.1% ABV. Dominated by a potent blend of Simcoe and Centennial hops, the profile opens with a vivid swathe of tangerine and bright grapefruit. The feather-bodied structure allows the hop character to remain at the forefront, balanced by a light, clean malt backbone reminiscent of a classic English pale ale but with the aggressive hopping of a modern American IPA. Expect a light blonde pour with a refreshing, dry finish. A sublimely quenching citrus pith bitterness lingers on the palate, ensuring a crisp and endlessly drinkable character from start to finish.
Appearance. Light gold to blonde (SRM 3-5). Brilliant clarity with a medium-sized, bright white head that shows good persistence and delicate lacing.
Aroma. High hop intensity featuring prominent tangerine, grapefruit, and floral notes from the Centennial hops, coupled with an underlying piney and resinous edge characteristic of Simcoe. Clean, low grainy maltiness provides a neutral backdrop with no significant esters.
Taste. Leading with high hop flavors of citrus zest and tangerine. The malt presence is low and crackery, supporting a firm bitterness that avoids harshness. The fermentation is clean, leading into a notably dry and refreshing finish characterized by a lingering citrus pith aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light body with a crisp, thin texture. Moderate to high carbonation enhances the refreshing quality. No perceived alcohol warmth or astringency, maintaining a smooth and quenching mouthfeel.
