This medium-bodied ale balances its malt-forward profile with a clean fermentation and a subtle, roasty dryness in the finish that prevents cloying sweetness. Appearance. Deep copper to reddish-brown (SRM 14–18) with brilliant clarity. Topped by a low, creamy, off-white head with good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high malt intensity featuring prominent toffee, rich caramel, and toasted breadcrumbs. Subtle esters of dried plum and raisin are present, alongside a very low, earthy hop note. Clean fermentation profile with no diacetyl.
Taste. Initial malt sweetness leads into layered flavors of toasted bread, caramel, and butterscotch. Medium-low bitterness provides just enough balance to the sugary malt core. A faint earthy hop flavor appears mid-palate. The finish is clean with a lingering toffee note and a characteristic light, roasty dryness.
