This Strong Bitter offers a vibrant new world interpretation of the classic style, bridging traditional English structure with bright Southern Hemisphere character. A foundation of English malts and NZ malts provides a robust, bready core with threads of toasted biscuit and light caramel. The aromatic profile is elevated by distinctive New Zealand Hops, which impart layers of tropical fruit and subtle resinous depth alongside the fruity esters produced by a characterful English yeast. It balances a firm, lingering bitterness with a complex, malt-forward body, delivering a sophisticated sensory profile that remains highly drinkable and elegantly structured.
Appearance. Deep amber to copper in color with brilliant clarity. Pours with a moderate, off-white head that demonstrates good retention and leaves light lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderately high intensity featuring a complex blend of toasted bread, nutty biscuit, and light caramel from the English malts and NZ malts. Pronounced fruity hop character from the New Zealand Hops suggests stone fruit and melon, supported by moderate fruity esters from the English yeast.
Taste. A firm medium-high bitterness provides the backbone for rich flavors of toasted bread crust and toffee.
