This Farmhouse Golden Ale captures the essence of a thawing arctic landscape through a vibrant sensory profile. As a Saison, it presents a bright gold hue topped with a persistent white head. The experience begins with an aromatic bouquet of fresh lemon, orange, and meadow flowers, underpinned by rustic yeast esters and a hint of earthy funk. On the palate, it strikes a complex balance between a soft, grainy malt backbone and a tart, stone-fruit profile of peach and pear. A subtle wine-like astringency and crisp dryness lead to a refreshing, highly carbonated finish that remains beautifully balanced.
Appearance. Bright gold (approx. 6 SRM). Dense, rocky white head with excellent retention and intricate Belgian lacing. Generally clear to slightly hazy with high effervescence.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by fruity-spicy yeast esters including apple and pear, complemented by a touch of peppery phenol. Distinct citrus notes of lemon and orange peel are layered over floral and fresh grassy hop character, with a light, rustic farmhouse funk.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and highly attenuated. Low but soft grainy malt flavor supports high fruity esters of peach and apple.
