This Imperial Stout presents a striking sensory journey, pouring an absolute black with a dense, creamy beige head. The aroma is dominated by intense roasted notes reminiscent of dark chocolate and flavored coffee, harmoniously layered with the bright, tart character of fresh raspberry. As the glass warms, its vinous complexity unfolds like a fine wine, revealing a deep interplay between the dark malts and the fruit. The palate is thick and velvety, delivering rich layers of cocoa and roasted grain that are rounded by the raspberry’s sweetness. The significant alcohol is integrated seamlessly, providing a gentle warmth that anchors the lingering, bittersweet finish.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (40+ SRM). Supports a well-formed, creamy, beige to light brown head with moderate to high retention and visible viscosity in the form of legs.

Aroma. High intensity. Rich, deep roast character featuring dark chocolate, bittersweet cocoa, and aromatic coffee. A prominent, fresh raspberry fruitiness weaves through the roast, supported by light vinous esters and a smooth, clean alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is a complex surge of roasted grain and chocolate. Strong coffee flavors are harmonized by the tart and sweet influence of raspberry, which rounds out the mid-palate. Medium-high bitterness from both hops and roast balances the malt density. The finish is lingering and bittersweet, evolving as the beer warms to reveal deeper fruit and malt layers.
