This Imperial Stout offers a profound sensory journey, showcasing Nómada’s experimental flair through a dense, jet-black pour. The primary sensory drive is a complex layer of roasted malts, delivering evocative notes of dark espresso and charred bread. These intense elements are masterfully softened by the addition of creamy coconut, which imparts a tropical sweetness and rounding effect. Accents of bittersweet chocolate emerge as the beer warms, revealing a vinous complexity similar to a fine wine. While the high alcohol content provides a gentle, structural warmth, it remains well-integrated, supporting a luxurious, velvety profile that finishes with a lingering, roasty bitterness and exotic coconut grace.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). It features a thick, creamy, deep tan to beige head with moderate retention that leaves noticeable legs on the glass, indicating high viscosity and alcohol content.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by rich roasted malt scents of dark-roasted coffee, cocoa, and a hint of burnt grain. The coconut adjunct provides a distinct, sweet, and nutty overlay that harmonizes with light esters of dried plums. Hop aroma is very low, allowing the roasted character and specialty ingredients to lead.

Taste. Initial impression is bold and bittersweet. Deep flavors of dark chocolate and espresso-like roast are prominent, followed by the smooth, sweet richness of coconut.
