Clocking in at a potent 10.7% ABV, it presents a deep amber hue topped with a dense beige foam. The profile is anchored by a luxurious malt base featuring notes of chewy toffee, dark caramel, and sun-dried raisins. What sets this expression apart is the infusion of kaffir lime, which introduces a distinctive, spicy citrus lift against the backdrop of ripe orchard fruits and plum. Appearance. Deep amber to coppery-brown (approximately 18-22 SRM). It features a huge, dense, moussy beige head with excellent persistence and fine lacing. Clarity is clear and brilliant.
Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of rich, bready-toasty malt and dark caramel. Significant esters of raisins, dried figs, and plums are prominent. The kaffir lime provides a unique, perfumy citrus freshness and a spicy-herbal phenol character. A soft, rose-like alcohol presence is noticeable but well-integrated.
Taste. Initial impression is malty-rich and sweet, dominated by caramel, toffee, and dark fruit flavors like raisins and dates. The kaffir lime provides a contrasting spicy freshness that cuts through the malt intensity. Bitterness is medium-low, enough to provide balance without being hop-forward.
