Noiseless RT#09 - DIPA West Coast
This West Coast Double IPA delivers an intense sensory experience driven by a potent blend of HBC 1019, Citra, and Centennial hops. The aroma opens with vibrant grapefruit and resinous pine, supported by modern notes of tropical melon and peach. On the palate, a crisp, neutral malt base allows the sharp citrus and floral qualities of Centennial to shine alongside the complex, stone-fruit character of HBC 1019. A firm, clean bitterness from the hop load leads to a bone-dry finish. At 8.2% ABV, it displays a smooth alcohol presence that warms without distracting, maintaining the high drinkability characteristic of a modern Double IPA.
Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-10 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring grapefruit, resinous pine, and tropical melon. HBC 1019 provides distinct stone fruit and light coconut notes, while Citra adds a sharp citrus punch. Very low, clean, neutral maltiness in the background with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Strong and complex hop flavor mirroring the aroma with layers of grapefruit, resin, and peach. High bitterness that is assertive but clean and not harsh. Malt flavor is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft, grainy foundation. Finish is dry to medium-dry with a long, lingering hoppy and bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, lean texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A restrained, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No hop-derived astringency.
