This White IPA presents a vibrant fusion of Belgian witbier elegance and American hop intensity. A base of wheat provides a soft, pillowy canvas for the punchy, tropical aromatics of Citra and Mosaic hops, which deliver layers of grapefruit, mango, and berry. These New World hops are expertly complemented by the classic additions of orange peel and coriander, providing a bright citrus zest and a subtle peppery spice. At 6.3% ABV, it maintains a crisp, refreshing profile with a firm bitterness that cleanses the palate, leaving a lingering trail of floral hops and sun-ripened orange.
Appearance.Straw to deep gold (3-6 SRM). Significant haze from the wheat content. Large, dense, white head with excellent persistence and fine lacing.
Aroma.High intensity aromatics. Dominant citrus and tropical fruit notes of grapefruit and mango from Citra and Mosaic, intertwined with fresh orange zest. Supportive base of light, bready wheat malt and a distinct spicy, herbal note of coriander. Clean fermentation with very low pear or apple esters.
Taste.Initial citrus burst of orange and grapefruit, followed by a mid-palate of crackery wheat and light honey. The Citra and Mosaic hops provide a firm, resinous bitterness that balances the soft malt. Late flavors of coriander add a dry, peppery complexity. Finishes dry and crisp with a lingering floral and citrus aftertaste.
Mouthfeel.Medium-light body with a smooth, creamy texture derived from the wheat. Moderate-high carbonation provides a lively, refreshing prickle. Very light alcohol warmth that is well-integrated. No astringency.
