This Specialty IPA presents a bold marriage of pungent Columbus hops and the assertive, spicy character of rye malt. It pours a deep, dark mahogany with a resilient tan head, releasing high-intensity aromas of resinous pine, earthy herbs, and a whisper of citrus from the Tomahawk hops. The palate is defined by a firm, clean bitterness that cuts through the bready, peppery rye malt core. Subdued notes of toast and light chocolate provide a complex backdrop without sacrificing the dry, hop-forward balance. The finish is crisp and lingering, highlighting a sophisticated interplay of hop resin and spicy grain.

Appearance. Dark brown to mahogany (approx. 35 SRM). Mostly clear but nearly opaque in the glass. Boasts a moderate, persistent tan head with fine lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring the dank resin, pungent pine, and earthy herbal notes of Columbus and Tomahawk hops. Supportive malt character provides a spicy rye edge with hints of toasted bread and a very light chocolate sweetness. Clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Firm bitterness leads into a complex flavor profile of resinous, herbal hops and a spicy rye graininess. Low to medium malt presence offers subtle notes of coffee and dark toast without being burnt. Dry finish with a lingering, bitter hop aftertaste and a touch of peppery malt.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate carbonation provides a crisp lift. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present from the 6.3% ABV.
